The best day of my life

The best day of my life was not the day I got admission into a university that seemed to represent my vision.
Neither the day I left home for school,

Nor the day I joined cultism,
For my efforts yielded only the illusion of power
And the loneliness of failure.

My best day was when I asked for clarity, and learnt that clarity is never stagnant
It grows through trial

I discovered purpose is never imposed;
Purpose lies in risks taken,
To break predictions about my future.

Then I asked:
Do past failures mean I cannot be a saviour?
Do past mistakes rob me of success?

I had an identity crisis, but that did not define me
Know this: failure is never the end
And as you begin your journey today,

Let your failures teach you,
Let your courage guide you,
And your purpose define you
