“LETTER TO MY DAD: A WARNING TO MY UNBORN CHILD”

freedom is yours, No more joyless hashtags as it was in our days, Only a smiling face, days of struggles will be gone....

Dear Dad,
As I walked through the narrow road,
A path enshrined with uncertainty of life,
Death’s shadow echoes, a steady threat.
Fear wrap up, as I behold the prepared table,

Now, the reasons for your failures are clear—
Not for lack of will or desire, but circumstance.
At this same pathway, I stand today with gestures,
Realizing it wasn’t as easy as I thought.
I forgive you; your efforts, I see.

Wish me well; your prayers are my strength,
Guiding me to forge a new walkway,
Smoother, less treacherous than the one you’ve known.

To my unborn child, relax with ease,
Before arrival, the wars will be over,
The narrative changes; struggles, tears, and debts will clear
Excess joy assured, just be humble to enjoy.

Just know, I’ve paved the way for change,
Behave, and let it be known, freedom is yours,
No more joyless hashtags as it was in our days,
Only a smiling face, days of struggles will be gone.

“Wish me well; your prayers are my strength”

This is a prayer we all have to pray instead of blaming our parents for what they can’t afford to give us or do for us, we should strive to be better than them so that our children we not repeat the same circle of poverty or complain. The joy of every parent to for their children to be greater than they are.
