Turning Pages

Still, I keep turning, searching for the page where calm waits, where peace settles softly, and the story feels like home....

The pages flip beneath my fingers,
some bright with laughter,
others heavy with silence.
I read slow, holding my breath,
as the story twists and turns,
sometimes warm like sunlight,
sometimes cold like rain.
Still, I keep turning,
searching for the page where calm waits,
where peace settles softly,
and the story feels like home.
