The PoetryMine Pot
The amount in the pot is the total amount to be won by the author with the winning submission for this edition. The total amount will increase based on the amount of interactions on any submission as well as other factors but it can never decrease. Keep an Eye on it. The pot amount will be locked on the 20th of March.

Easy Steps!
1. Sign Up and Get Started
First things first, fill out the quick registration form. It’s your ticket to the competition, just a few details and you're in!
2. Submit Your piece
Got your piece ready? Awesome! Upload your piece right into the registration form. Hit submit, and let’s see what you’ve got!
3. Chill While We Review
Sit back and relax for a day or two while we check out your work. We’ll send you an email letting you know when your piece is up on the site. Your words are about to shine!
4. Get RATINGS, Win It!
Once your piece is live, it’s time for the fun part, ratings! Let the world show some love, and on the 21st of March, the winner of the competition will be selected and awarded.

Be sure to go through the following rules before filling the form below
- All submissions must be original works. Plagiarism will not be tolerated and will result in immediate disqualification. Make sure your piece is 100% your own!
- Submissions open on the 15th of January every year and will remain open until the 15th of March or unti
- All pieces must be submitted before the 15th of the march. Late submissions will not be accepted.
- Poems can be rated or commented on immediately they are published. Make sure to spread the word and get ratings on your work. Rating is completely free and can help draw the judges attention to your pieces, it's also one way to increase the pot total.
- Shortlisted poems will be read at a live public session. Our judges may be poetry pros or just passionate readers so write something anyone can enjoy while still being creative and powerful.
- The winner will be announced on the 21st of the March. While votes and comments do play a role in bringing the judge's attention to your work, the winner is chosen based on merit and not just votes.
- All submitted pieces will be deleted from our archives once the competition ends. All except the winning piece which will be in the Hall of Fame
