If I Had…

If I had a mouth
I’d speak the truth
I’d tell of the reasons why
I had no roots

If I had a tongue
I’ll walk them out with it
Send them to the fiery gate like the rogue And forget I ever did it

If I had lips
I’d move them to your kisses
Laugh, cry, smile, grin and moan in your embrace, Pout and poke
To the mysteries I learn you release

If I had teeth
I’d bite and gnash an early thought And be fit, Ahhh
That I won’t eat the regret I never sought

1f I had a heart
It would beat for you
Faster or slower through the chart
All the way through

If I had a life
I’d live it your ways
Depict your countenance to the wise and lowly of heart all my days

Give me all these, my maker
If I had all these
I’ll use them all for you

If I had a dollar for everytime I’ve read this, I’d be $5 richer. Inspiring piece😊
